Exclusive Silk Scarves Auction
A collection of one-off silk scarves hand-painted by some of UK's hottest designers and artists will be auctioned by Mary Portas' Living & Giving Shop to help raise funds for Save the Children.
The exclusive designs from the likes of Julien Mcdonald and May Fair Hotel Artist in Residence Marc McGreevy are based on visualisations of their childhood memories.
All eight Handpicked scarves will be available to the highest bidder when the auction closes. The auction will go live on eBay Thursday 13 Feb 2014 until Sunday 23 Feb 2014.
All the designers and artists used Age of Reason's Anarchy Jack scarf as the base. This scarf is a faded version of the union jack and represents chaos and hope.
Marc McGreevy said "This scarf is of one of my favourite runway models Alek Wek. For me she is a symbol of hope and beauty. Freeing herself from the difficulties of life as a child and growing into something amazing and inspiring many people. We can all make a difference, large or small, using our strengths and expertise to stop the horror of hunger today.”
